Favorite Slices

How do you rock your pie? My favorite is probably the classic pepperoni with green peppers and maybe some onions or jalapenos. We have an oddity that I think is local to the midwest/kc or maybe just certain areas where we put honey on our pizza. A pepperoni slice with crushed red peppers and honey is the bomb.com.

Pep, sausage, onion, green pep.

I like a pie that is "well done" also. Cheese is a bit crisp on top.

Re: Favorite Slices

i like a good chewy thin crust
pepperoni with extra cheese....

sometimes pepperoni with mushrooms.

Re: Favorite Slices

Thin crust is king for, enough for me to fold while eating. I do say I enjoy the deep dish in Chicago as well.

Re: Favorite Slices

Got a lot of thin mofos here. I appreciate a hand-tossed crust or a thin every once in awhile. Papa John's has the best pizza of the major chains I think.

It may be a Colorado thing, but I <3 spicy sausage, roasted green chilis, mozz, and cream cheese...

I like my juicy with a creamy finish.

Sometimes hand-tossed works too.

The Earth is an asshole.

Re: Favorite Slices

papa johns is one of my least faves of the fast food pizzas.

i do like the take n bak chicago style at papa murphy's and i love the thin crust pepp w/ extra cheese at pizza hut.

dominos, little caesars, papajohns....last places i call...in fact i have not eaten at either in 2-3 years.

black jack pizza is surprisingly good for how inexpensive it is.

tough to beat a good wood fired artisan pizza.....i love good original ol fashion pizza but those fancy/gourmet ones are great too...

Re: Favorite Slices

Onion, green peppers, black olives. I'm not terribly exciting.

Re: Favorite Slices

I worked at Pizza Hut, Domino's and Papa John's at different times so I could give you the low down. Pizza Hut is disgusting.

Re: Favorite Slices

pepperoni, jalopenos, blue cheese

Re: Favorite Slices

i appreciate the fact you worked at all those places...

i know some peeps in town here and in another one two hours north who work in em and they say good things about em...plus, i really like the thin crust and breadsticks. ;)

denny's and fuddruckers hires nothing but ex cons with poor hygiene...needless to say i don't eat at those places....not even for a cup of coffee.

Re: Favorite Slices

I used to work at a restaurant/bar that had pizza, it was "up-scale" but served beer type place, so only the freshest of toppings and I have found through trial and error the #1 best toppings and it is:
sausage, fresh jals, goat chez, mushrooms. Nothing was better. More toppings was too much and anything less than the 4 lessened the quality of the taste.

I like just cheese, but sauteed vegetables on top are always good.

Re: Favorite Slices

Is there a Mackenzie River Pizza Co. near you, Balv? We had one in Great Falls when I lived there, and man... that was good pizza.

Re: Favorite Slices

mackenzie is/was pretty good....i'd say more like the chain pizzas nowadays...it was pretty good when it opened...still a good place to go for "pub grub"

@waves
what do you mean?

i have a different experience with pizza hut than you....is there something wrong with that???? i believe you when you say/think it is disgusting...but should the one pizza hut you worked at or the couple my friends worked at be the tell-all for all pizza hut chains in the world?

I think ph is the worst of pizza too, but pizza is pizza, it's all good.

Re: Favorite Slices

rockys is still the best chain pizza I've had...I coculd eat that shit every day

Re: Favorite Slices

Pizza Hut is a corporate chain. Their pizza is basically freeze dried. It's shipped to the stores in frozen disks that we would cover in oil and then put in the refrigerator to rise. Kind of gross if you see it in action. Domino's and Papa John's hand -toss their dough and it's somewhat fresh, so I think that's better but you might disagree.

Re: Favorite Slices

totino's is cheap ass pizza too but it's a guilty pleasure of mine...those things are delicious...just put a ton of hot sauce and you're good to go

I typically like thicker crust pizza with extra cheese, spinach, and mushrooms. I think my favorite pizza was this super thin crust pizza with bleu cheese, spinach and artichokes.

Re: Favorite Slices

I'm all about the thin crust. I'll take Domino's over Papa John's. Pizza Hut is the worst, thanks for the insider info, Waves.

Prefer spinach, bell peppers, onions, jalapenos.

I read somewhere that it costs Cici's less than a dollar to make one of their pizzas. You can taste the cost-savings in that.

oh come on...little caesars is the worst...

Does anyone know of a good place to find a used Pizza oven? I've tried Craigslist. Maybe I should try Oskarslist.

Re: Favorite Slices

i don't think we have a cici's i've heard of em and never tried the pizza...

i will say this about pizza hut...i don't like they're "hand toss" crust or their greasy deep dish thing....not good at all...but i love their thin crust.

missoula has some great pizza places...namely a great little dive place called Tower and a great gourmet place like Biga Pizza....

check em out on yelp
