I really don't know. I was here for awhile before I really posted much.

Re: how long have you been here...

before my daugher was born.

2002 or 2003 seems to make the most sense. right after demolition but before love is hell.

Re: how long have you been here...

I think I started in 2005 under a different name.

Re: how long have you been here...

Oh wow...I was still in my undergrad years of college (I think)...or maybe my first year of grad school. So 2001- 2003 ish. I lurked a long time before I ever posted though.

I can't even remember... although I know I first came around during the days of the original .org.

Re: how long have you been here...

Right, I was on the original .org, when did that close? Posted there, too, so was before 2005....

Since 2006 before Ryan got all mad at us and we were sent to detention here at alt-country.org.

Re: how long have you been here...

I've been posting since 2006. I lurked before, but never posted until the .org got themes.

Something about Red Death made me feel shy and dirty.

Re: how long have you been here...

i browsed www.ryan-adams.com in late 2001 but i didn't become a member until september 2002, just before the release of Demolition.

Re: how long have you been here...

and i remember wishing how i shoudlve heard of Ryan sooner, in the late 90s. my high school experience would have been so much better if i listened to cool music like Whiskeytown and Wilco.

if only i could go back in time to 1998 and make a mixtape for that lost little boy who listened to the radio and watched mtv. i wouldnt put songs made after that point on the mixtape - that might fuck up the space-time continuum - i would simply make a mix of Whiskeytown, Wilco/Uncle Tupelo, Bright Eyes, Jeff Buckley, etc. which was around at the time

Re: how long have you been here...

I been here goin' on 72 year I reckon.

I wish you could go back in time and tell Wilco about what they would become.

Lurking since 2004, first post 2006, trying to sell a ticket for his show in Amsterdam (at the RAI). Posted again soon afterwards, begging for a link to the Elizabeth Town sessions (thanks Baffy), and stuck around.

Re: how long have you been here...

It has been just about ten years for me I believe. I was on the old "Red, White and Blue" Ryan Adams site before it turned into this one for a few years.

I've tried to find some of those early posts on the wayback machine, but with no avail.

It's like suddenly I realized who really gives a fuck anyway.

Re: how long have you been here...

August/September 2006

I went to the Sep Notitngham Show and the Sep Manchester show. It was on the back of CR and JCN. And it was my first time seeing Ryan.

GREAT TIMES

Re: how long have you been here...

I started really lurking when the artwork for Cold Roses was being pimped out before the records. But I do remember ryan-adams.org

I can't really recall - I know I was on the old site before the one Ryan had closed down.

When that was I have no idea though. 2002?

Re: how long have you been here...

Fist thread I made was in 05. I didn't start posting regularly (become addicted) until 2007.

I think I posted the most when MelancholyJen was here. I remember busting TGIJef's chops a lot and LauraJ telling me I need to reduce my time spent here.

I think I have been here longer than I actually realized. I remember the red, white & blue board. When did that change?

Re: how long have you been here...

you really came into your own in 2008

then you fizzled...made a huge comeback and have not relinquished your status since.

Here's a glimpse from January 2005, courtesy of the Wayback Machine:

If you search "View all Members" over on the lower right you can find your old profile and check your post count... mine was 38 ironically.

So I'm guessing I started a while before this, but not too long.

I can barely remember what I did yesterday, but I'm gonna guess I started posting right away somewhere between 2001-2003. I got Heartbreaker and Faithless Street in 2000 and proceeded to need every Whiskeytown release after that.

Found this place around 2004, but was never much of a board poster. It was, to me, a whole new social milieu. I mostly used it for entertainment and information.

Started posting regular three or four years ago.
