This is like one of those JJ Abrahms (or whoever, I'm not a fan) TV shows where a bunch of people have been deserted in some remote place and left to their own devices. I think years ago someone like Meade would have been a minor annoyance but now he is like a case of the gout. The fact is Ryan just doesn't make good copy any more.
