Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

Is this riddled with distortion for anyone else? The whole set in fact suffers. Anyone else?

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

I hear some background noise like fans. No big deal thru these headphones. Called it up from the cloud on a 3G network.

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

On the loud vocals especially in the left channel.

Holy shit. These sound fucking great. Sounds like I'm in his throat and 1 inch from the guitar hole. $79 headphones shoved deep in ears.

Dublin. Hell Yes.

What a jackass. You are a stain. Answer his query, don't just imply your superiority.

Try this, "It sounds clear on my system, but I'm listening through headphones. Are your speaker cables well connected?"

fasterpiece, did you understand from my post the my Dublin sounds good to me? I figured you did.
I was on the road so my response was limited. I listened to most of tgat show starting with NY NY and mostly just heard his guitar and vocals sounding just like they sound. I was actually amazed at how good it sounded. I'm no audiophile though.

I have a fan named highlife who likes to follow me around. It's an Internet thing. He's afraid to meet up. Lol

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

I'm listening on headphones too. Probably would miss it on speakers. But it pierces my ear drum when the volume goes up on the vocals and piano like some nasty digital clipping. That's weird no-one else has it.

Sounds like the Ménière's remix to me, faster

Distortion too on Cannonball Days @ Malmo. Really sloppy stuff!

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

I answered you and said mine mostly sounded amazingly great.

Some highlife thing I think called me names about.

Remember?

I don't know why mine sounds good. It does sound like a mic in the guitar hole and a great vocal mic and a great mix of the two. For a live recording with all the noise that could come from different rooms every night and people and fans and shit I think it sounds damn fine.

I would like to have recordings like this from some musicians I like even better than Ryan.

That Lettrman show still shows what a bad ass mfer he is.

He did not play near me on this tour and I could not get the damn vinyl. If you got either then I'm not sure what the complaining is all about.

It's just pop music.

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

GAH GAH GAH GAH but they are all the same thing. why can no-one else hear this? its making me go insane. why am I cursed with ears that hear this horrible distortion?

Easy: Méniere's disease.

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

Listen to the music. Filter out the rest. Where did you download from. What are your settings and software and such? Did you get the vinyl too. You probably said but please do tell again.

Re: Live After Deaf - Dublin - New York, New York

Its the same on ipod as it is with my PC set-up. The ear piecing distortion on NY, NY Dublin is not possible to filter out. It makes my head explode. It is not a subtle noise. I have the Amazon Mp3s. It's not a mastering issue - I've inspected the files. This was captured during recording. I can't imagine the vinyl is any better because it looks like its part of the recording to me.
