Baffy, I've listened to Girls' 1st one (titled Album). The band/music -- is it 2 of them, or more?-- is great. The vocalist (Chris?) takes a little getting used to, but the songs are really good. Kinda garage-y in all the right ways. You might like it. Haven't heard the follow up EP or second LP...

Second album is great.

Better start with the second one, it's less lo-fi (in fact it's not lo-fi at all) and it's one of the best albums of 2011. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, check it out asap!

I think both are pretty great, real shame about this but I doubt whatever else Chris does will be all that different...

I think I like the fleshier sound of Father, Son, Holy Ghost a little more but the songs on this album are fantastic. I love his almost childlike honest lyrics, they remind me of Jonathan Richman.

It's so good, I might actually pay for the cd when it comes out. I'd pay for the vinyl if it didn't have such an awful cover.
