I'm familiar, picked up There Is A Bomb In Gilead a few weekends ago. Still need to give the Dexateens a listen though. Will probably see the Truckers with Matt Patton here in the next week or so.

I like it but need to give it a few more spins before I weigh in on it.

let me know...I love the concept...soul, punk, rock and gospel, country and delta blues...it's the kind of thing that I feel requires a real deft touch...From what I've heard thus far, Lee is capable of that...producing is another matter entirely, as you know

I wasn't too impressed with that video, but I'm all about something sounding "soul, punk, rock and gospel, country and delta blues"

I like the video but wouldn't say that it's indicative of the album itself.

I've been listening to the things he's been posting leading up to release day. Need to pick up this album...loved him in the Dexateens.

I happened to find There Is A Bomb In Gilead in the used bin of the local record store recently not realizing it hadn't actually been released yet. I believe the official release date is May 15th.

That's sounds right. I think he's done some pre-orders and has been selling it at shows. I seem to recall something about purple vinyl.

I just checked out some stuff on YouTube as well as some clips on iTunes and it certainly sounds like a southern soul rave up. I'll have to pick this up.

it's very good...there's some maturing for the band to do, but it's a very solid record...Reba is the standout track for me

Agreed, Bon Jovi. I just got it in the mail this week and I'm in total love. Roses, you'd really like it (I think). It's on Spotify for any of you so inclined.
