The Finale should be required viewing for every American

Re: The Newsroom (HBO, Sorkin)

I tried to watch this and made it part way through the 2nd episode. I can't stand anyone on this show except Daniels and Sam Waterson.

Re: The Newsroom (HBO, Sorkin)

I hate, hate, hate the pacing of the dialog on this show. It makes the west wing seem like the actors were on thorazine. I'm sorry Aaron...love your ideas, and it's very well done, but only merge addicts have conversations like those on the newsroom. Also, does it seem to anyone else like waterson may have had a stroke?

Re: The Newsroom (HBO, Sorkin)

daniels is excellent ghar is right though...the rest of the cast are complete tools.

still, a pretty solid show.

Re: The Newsroom (HBO, Sorkin)

Dialogue is tough to write. If the dialogue is anything like The Social Network, well, it's enjoyable, but not natural. It's seems written (see:overwrought) and not spoken. Still good, but it takes some adjustment to receive it.

I've been watching Mad Men season 1 on Netflix instant and the dialogue is much more natural without seeming written.

But then I like the dialogue in Deadwood, which is the most overwrought talking ever.
