I pay for the premium account and so can use the app on my iPhone as well as the computer software. Pretty amazing, I just search for an album, I can either stream it or over wifi I can choose it to be made offline so it Is essentially downloaded to my phone.

From what a long time recording artist musician producer bar owner guy posted on his Facebook a few months back Spotify pays the songwriter the least amount of money of them all. ITunes paid the most and it was a for shot amount but Spotify was like .000000000001

I would say. I pay 10 quid a month for my premium account which means I can use the iphone app, plus I don't get any adverts when I listen (both on phone and computer). It really is quite an amazing thing - I use it constantly. I just hope that they haven't had to take loads of stuff off so they could release it in America. For me, it's got basically everything I want.

I think the US Spotify is in beta phase, meaning invite only for now. I don't know if it will work UK to US but I have about 39 invites if someone wants to try it.

I don't know what the invite got you but I just signed up for the premium service, I'm blown away. I stream it through my phone in my car, sound quality is cd quality and very little lag. Greatest thing ever.

I am mostly listening to new and popular stuff. Stuff that I normally would never download or buy. But now i have a reference point when people talk about it. Most of it sucks.

I also just listened to the cast recording of The Book of Mormon, which was great.

You can now add Spotify inside your iOS app.

This is a way to promote their premium accounts, by having developers make custom apps that use spotify code. Could be interesting.
