well, i had a good weekend. i saw the hold steady and then i saw the puffy shirt at the smithsonian.

i thought the hold steady were pretty bad at virgin fest


maybe they need to be in a bar... but i just got so annoyed by his talk/singing over the guitars that i left to go get some more beer and funnel cake

like it was "giving me a headache bad"

i saw them at the 930 club on saturday night and thought they were excellent. but i understand how they can seem annoying.

i think it was just a combination of the sound not coming through well because of a bad PA and the crowd being boring as shit

I'm seeeing the HS in a small (450) club at the end of the month. Can't wait.

I took a pounding in the soccer pool this weekend. I may have to trash my team.
