Biggest misconception about the .org is that most of us hate Ryan or hated him at some point. I can only think of maybe 2 people here who have stated their dislike for him. We were called that because we knew the truth about JP leaving the band). Anyway, I think we mostly like the guy and almost all of us have a few CDs of his we really like or even love. Someone who posted here at the time knew JP and saw him in NYC and JP said he was through with the Cardinals, so naturally we were discussing this situation and Ryan went apoplectic and issued a statement saying JP was still in the band and called us 'a bunch of moaning lifeless sloths'. Twas the beginning of the animosity (if that's what you call it) between Ryan and the .org which, of course, culminated with him shutting down ryanadams.org.
And we were right - JP never played with him again.

No matter how they slice it, bologna is the scraps pulled from aside other wonderful cuts of meat so carelessly that it gets mixed with feces and other waste, processed and slapped in a perfectly round little package.

mojo, you started this thread before Kjoy arrived. When she is gone, you will still say the the .org is dying.

Maybe I will, but at least it will be healthier again and have a chance to survive.

In one sense, this board died when Ryan got it shut down. Shit turned sour fast and for a while it was damn near a Ryan hate site.

That said, it remains the best damned free-for-all messageboard based in music appreciation that I've come across yet and personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass if any of you left. There is indeed a slew of wonderful folks who have departed but you know what? Fuck them and the keyboard they rode in on. I assume and trust that the day Dose storms off, you'll all just pick up and move on with what's left of your lives. It is unfortunate that it doesn't attract the same level of traffic that it did when folks were discovering Ryan Adams' active career but nobody makes or breaks this board.

I have hated this thread ever since it was born and I continue to hate it to this day.
