Premiered in Holland yesterday, two episodes in a row. Loved it and it looks like it will only get better. Fortunately dutch tv took their cue from the way the bbc aired The Wire, and they're showing an episode each night.

I love Dexter, too. What a great show. I've only seen Seasons 1 & 2. Saving 3 for ski vacations...since I don't ski.

aww amy, you gotta try and ski. i hated it and cried the first 3 tries. snowboarding was easier for me, although once i plowed over a lil boy on the bunny slopes, i couldnt stop.
But dexter is so good that you will prob have just as good of a time.

I'm late to the dexter bandwagon. I just started the third season. I love it. I watched the first two seasons in about 2 weeks.

it just isn't quite doing it for me this season, even though I love Julia Stiles

That last season was probably my least favorite. The Lithgow season was just too good to top.
Anyone catch the premier? Looks like they're setting up a decent premise though the formula has gotten predictable.

I loved this show the first season. It so boring now because they aren't attempting to tell a fully realized story. They are just writing for the season.
Now Breaking Bad on the other hand...
Re: dexter...
- Author: WillieCash
- 10/4/11 3:28:40 PM
the writers on Dexter aren't very good at telling the set-up for the season in an organic manner.
Lot sof people saying things to give the viewer information that they wouldn't say aloud in real life and ham fisted "mwahahaha" type moments.
The show usually evens out to being good by ep 4 or so.
Did anybody see "Homeland"? I thought it was great.

what is homeland?
and not sure if dexter has started this season or not but i saw the 1st episode as it leaked online....horrible 1st episode
BREAKING bad is bad ass and was slow at times this year but is leading up to be one of the best.

Dexter started on Sunday. It was okay. I love how many liberties they take in the off season. He could be a woman now and that would be okay because it happened in the off season.

"what is homeland?"
It's a Showtime original series that just started.
The premise is a POW is recovered in Afghanistan after being gone for several years after the govt learns a POW has been turned.
There's plenty of interesting sub-plots, but that's the main crux of it.
Clair Danes, Mandy Patinkin, etc... Solid cast.

this season is making me miss Stiles' character
I need more than 'Deb's lieutenant now' to keep me hooked
although showing the intern the Ice Truck killer files was a little closer to exciting

I think the "Four Horsemen" scene we're supposed to see next week would have been more interesting and effective if it had not been previewed repeatedly for the past three weeks.

What was new guy Mikes deal? Was he obsessed with Dexter or with the Ice Truck Killer? I hated the Deb storyline that they finished with.
And.. SPOILERS

WTF? I hate that Dexter got caught by his sister. It'll be really interesting to see where they go with this next season.

Between June and September I will avoid this thread like the plague.
