My flatmates gave me notice on 10th dec and I've had adverts in loot, moveflat, spare room and into london since then.

It's really good value considering how expensive london is - massive double room that comprises the whole attic, brand new furniture, 3 minutes from victoria line, sharing with one other person for £650 including bills, council tax, broadband and everything. I wasn't able to get a deal that good 2 years ago when I was renting. the reason i'm doing it for no profit to me is so that i can get someone reliable, who will not trash the place and will maybe stay longer than a few months. sadly all my friends are doing the same as me or are not in the position to move in.

plus no matter how much of a rip off, it's london and there should always be people moving here!!

i know a few people looking for a place... but they all specialize in the art of dissapearing and the game of trashing.

That's the problem - I mean don't get me wrong I'm a bit lairy and have been known to trash my own place ever so slightly but it's scary when you've got a mortgage! Snore.

Well the idea is that in 2 years it will pay for itself then I can travel for a year, come back to london and then have a place to come back to. if i want to be in london in the long run it's the only way to do it. It's just January is the worst time of year possible to try and do anything, including find a flatmate.
